Chevron Nails and Nail Polish Haul

Chevron design nails I finished last night ^_^
I used BM201 for the chevron design and MASH 30 for the tribal image. I didn't expect that this would turn out pretty damn well, I got some compliments from the sales ladies I encountered at the mall earlier, haha!
Base polish used is Ever Bilena in Lagoon, then added two coats of Caress in Glitter Gold. On my ring finger is the glitter franken that I made.

Okay enough of that let's proceed with the nail polish haul ^_^
My first stop was Etude House because they always have nice colors of nail polishes and I like the formula. The top coat I use is from one of their regular line of polishes which is kinda cheap, really can't afford Seche Vite :P

These are the ones I picked!
L-R: LUCIDarling Fantastic Nails Glitter in turquoise/teal, this kinda reminds me of mermaid scales, in the picture it looks like a dark blue :( stupid camera phone. Next is Etude House Tint Mint, the color is very close to a Tiffany blue color which is a total lemming for me that's why even if this polish cost P178, which is roughly around a little over $4 I still bought it. I love Etude House polish bottles, they're cute and pretty! ^_^

DGR701 Tint Mint, I believe this is supposed to be more green than blue but I prefer that it is more blue than green. I've bought some mint polishes that when I was in the store they looked bluish but when I get home it turned out be real mint colored. So I am really happy that I found this one ^_^

Next stop the department store ^_^
I like buying polishes in the dept. store because I have a lot of choices and some of them are really quite cheap.

L-R: 24K in Sugar Plum, Sweet Cherry in Glitter Gold (I bought two) and Sweet Cherry in Glitter Silver

Glitter Gold is my favorite gold glitter that I've encountered, it's the same glitter that I used on my chevron nails.
It's more like gold dust to me and there are like two sizes of the dust, the larger of the two sizes is minimal so when applied you can see the slight contrast which I very much like ^_^
You can see how much I like it that I bought back up for my back up because I don't want to run out!
The Caress glitter gold is very much the same with the Sweet Cherry brand because they came from the same manufacturing company, Kateenson Industries.
I prefer Sweet Cherry because it's cheaper but I prefer the brush on the Caress bottle so I figured that I could just pour it on the Caress bottle when it's halfway empty ^_^
So yes, I am planning to use this in most of my manis, hahaha!

Sweet Cherry in Glitter Silver
I do have some silver glitter polishes in my stash but this one has fine glitters. Since I am so in love with the gold I figured I should try this one too.

Here's a pic of both polishes side by side, I hope the silver is just as good as the gold in terms of the size of the glitters. ^_^

24K nail polish in Magic Sugar Plum
All of the 'Magic' line of 24K polishes is either duo chrome or multi chrome. This one is multi chrome because on different angles where the light hit I can see blue, green and gold. I'm just not sure that they would be very obvious once it's on the nails though. I'm really not into this kind of effect on polishes but when I asked my boyfriend if it was pretty he said yes, so why not?

The shimmer like quality of this polish remind me of galaxy nails, I wonder when I could try those...

Another angle, I can't make the other colors show up... aarrgghh...

Here's another, I think I was a little lucky with this one. Do you see the gold and bluish lines? Those are the chrome colors. ^_^

Okay obviously this is not a nail polish, I just wanted to share a pic of my new house slippers.
Isn't cute? haha! ^_^

Thanks for hanging out here!

Rain, music, nail polish and stamping image plates....

Sorry I haven't updated my blog for a week. I have been busy because my sister and I watched Snow Patrol Fallen Empires Tour here in Manila last Thursday. We joined a Meet and Greet contest and we both won! So we had to prepare a bit, went to a thrift store and bought some shoes and top. We didn't have enough moolah to buy clothes from the mall and we didn't want to venture out too far because last week heavy rains flooded certain parts in Manila and other close provinces as well. It wasn't too bad from where we live but some parts in our village got flooded as well and some are almost waist high. Funny thing was it wasn't even a proper storm, just heavy rains and strong wind. The Smashing Pumpkins concert was even cancelled for a day because of it (they had their concert the day before Snow Patrol, same venue). Our internet connection was affected as well, it was intermittent and slow. What a week, we basically got stuck in the house for days but I was able to go out and drop by the mall a day before the concert because I had to buy some school stuff for my nephew and people in our house wanted donuts, I was able to drop by at Etude House and got me a couple of nail polish. ^_^

During the concert I got a text that my MASH and Red Angel plates arrived in Manila I wasn't able to read it because I was too busy screaming my lungs out and singing along with the songs and my phone battery died as well. ^_^
The next morning I received another text so I had to go out and transfer my full payment. I thought I was going to have a problem money-wise because the money I have left wasn't enough, I used up most of my money going to the concert and of course we have to eat, right? But my awesome boyfriend is there to the rescue and gave me enough money so I can send the full payment. ^_^

So these are my MASH plates and Red Angel plates, it's awesome that both sets have a paper backing, I'm just hoping that all the image plates work. I'll try to swatch these after I've taken individual pics but I will have to wait for my boyfriend's camera.

Collective nail polish haul last week. From left to right: Epsa nail polish in 111 (black with holo glitters), Etude House clear polish (using it as a top coat), Guppy polish bright watermelon pink (no sticker on the bottom so I don't know the number), Etude House in PP903 and Epsa nail polish in 92 (peach pink).
Rain or shine, must have polish! ^_^

Thanks for hanging out here, will try to review and swatch the plates soon!

Caress Nail Polish Tiny Haul ^_^

Mainly, I only wanted the glitter polish but when I saw these other shades I just had to get them ^_^

First up is Avocado, most if not all Caress polishes are really sheer. You would need at least 3 coats for it to be opaque but this is not a downside for me because they could easily pass up as jelly polishes because of their sheerness.
When I saw Avocado I immediately thought of making a glitter sandwich, I did not own a jelly green so I'm pretty sure this would do just fine.

Next is Obsession, it's a medium light pink that's a little more opaque than Avocado. I'm not sure if this would be good for making glitter sandwich but the color looks really pretty, I just hope it would look good on my nails. I really like pinks, specially light ones but not all pinks look good on my nails. :(

Third is Flamingo, this is a dark khaki shade. I don't know why I bought this color, well I guess it looked unique to me because I don't have a color like this on my stash. I'm a bit confused why it's called Flamingo, aren't they supposed to be bright pink? Anyway I was thinking I may be able to use it for some nail art designs because you'll never know when you might need a khaki right? Or not. Hahaha ^_^

Last is Christmas Polka, this is the one that I originally wanted to buy. I've seen this before like months ago but I didn't get it because I had an abhorrence of glitter polishes then. Now that taking off glitter polishes is easier I just had to get this ^_^
This has small silver glitters with a mix of purple and red hex glitters. The base is clear which is perfect for glitter sandwiches.

I have not used this polishes yet that's why there are no swatches but I will give a more detailed review if and when I get to use them.

Thanks for hanging out here! ^_^

Nail Mail and Nail Polish Haul! ^_^

Yesterday was like Christmas ^_^
First my boyfriend bought me three Bobbie Magnet-ficent Polish Effect (magnetic polish) and the Jocarste Black polish which is my favorite black stamping polish. The other Jocarste polish I bought for myself :)
Then when I got home my nail mail was waiting for me which I quickly grabbed then went directly to my room and opened it. Unfortunately I was called to carry my niece to burp her, as much as I would like to tinker and take pics of my latest nail stuff she was just too cute so she wins! lol ^_^

From L-R: Jocarste 685, Jocarste 654 or 54, Bobbie Magnet-ficent in VI-104, Bobbie Magnet-ficent in GR-203 and Bobbie Magnet-ficent in SI-204

These are the new OB plates, I will be swatching these hopefully I can do it soon.

Heart-shaped glass nail polish bottles for frankening or maybe to put your liquid cuticle remover. Aren't they cute? ^_^

Silicon stamper head in red and white, I am going to make a review of these ^_^

This is the freebie I got, nail water decals ... pretty ^_^
Everything except for the polishes I bought from MyOnline Shop, which is one of my favorite sellers of nail paraphernalia on Facebook.

So watch out for the reviews I will be making for the stamper head, nail polishes and the plates.

Thanks for hanging out here :)

Random small haul ^_^

I was able to drop by at the mall earlier and I saw these cute stuff on sale ^_^

First the Goth-like floral pen, I've seen this pen before but I never bought it because I find it to be too expensive. The original price was Php129 and now it's only Php35, such a steal!

Second is the yellow skull thin head band, the second I saw it I just grabbed it because I just love skull designs! Original price was Php29.50 and I got it for Php15, almost 50% discount :)

Lastly is the the Caronia nail polish in Kiwi, this wasn't on sale but these polishes are really affordable they only cost Php33.25.

Originally I wanted to get a Jacorste nail polish in black but sadly they run out already :(

Now my total is Php83.25 which if converted is a little under $2, cool isn't it?

I just love bargains!!! ^_^

KD Stamping Image Plates

I've just finished swatching all my KD stamping image plates last night, now I need to take pictures and edit them but I'm too busy finishing my nail challenge for tomorrow and taking care of my niece (she's a cutie!)
Hopefully I'll have some time later so I can post my review and swatches soon  ^_^
