Mash 43 Image Plate

I always love full nail floral patterns, maybe because they're so easy to use haha :)
Circle bubbles sooo cute, I wish I had pastels that are opaque enough for this.
The stripes reminds me of bar codes, it might work ;)
Oooh reptile pattern again, maybe I could do pastels with this too. Sorry I'm still into pastels til now.
Hibiscus are always pretty, maybe next summer.

Recent nail art and glue review ^_^

I know I haven't posted for some time now. I've been so busy and I'm having some technical problems with my phone for days already. I still haven't fixed it yet, I'm still going to need to observe it. My phone is the main camera that I use to take pics so I would be heart broken if I can't fix it. I can't afford to buy a new one :(

For the mean time I'm just going to share a couple of my recent mani ^_^

I really love how this turned out. I've been seeing some nail art with gradients on top of their stamped nails. This is my first try, I used a metallic silver on my tips then applied a fine glitter gold polish which I recently bought and love, now I wish I bought two bottles of it because it was so cheap anyway. Ugh!

Okay, this one is still on my fingers right now :)
I made this yesterday and I was able to take a pic of this earlier before my phone started to act crazy again.
I used two metallic polishes, first is the pink base then sponged in the blue. Then I placed one coat of the fine gold glitter again then added a second coat but only on the tips. As you can see all the images I stamped are birds. They came from different plates which I forgot to take note of *toink*
It seems to me the blue metallic polish is too sheer to show up, I didn't want to apply too many coats because the pink base is already 3 coats.

I've been using the glue base method ever since I posted it on here. I have changed to using Elmer's School Glue now instead of the LEEHO gel glue.
There are some pros and cons though....

Elmer's School Glue
Drying time is fast, less than a minute if you dry in front of an electric fan.
Matte like finish when it's dry so you know when to start putting on the second coat and nail polish.
Glue dries thin and smooth.
Peels off faster than the gel glue, you need to seal the tips with polish.
I've noticed my nail polish don't bubble even if I layer polishes. This has been a huge problem for me with my polishes even if I've waited for my polish to dry in between coats.
I will have test this more though, I have a few thick polishes on my stash that I doesn't get any action because of this problem.

LEEHO Gel School Glue
Drying time takes a while around 3 minutes or so.
Hard to see if it's dry so you will need to feel it up a bit.
Dries thick, I can actually see an added thickness when I apply my polish.
Sometimes glue doesn't dry smooth, maybe it's the nail polish brush or what not but sometimes I feel stubbles. I'm thinking that maybe the glue is too thick.
Manis lasts longer, doesn't peel off unless you peel it off still be careful not to nick the edge.
My nail polish sometimes get bubbles specially the first layer of polish, but once I start layering the second coat bubbles aren't very apparent.

Both are affordable and non-toxic.
I still prefer the Elmer's one because it dries quicker, smooth and my polish doesn't bubble.
My mani may not last long but one of the reasons I chose to use this method is because I like to change my mani quite often and clean up is just too easy ^_^
I need to look for a nail moisturizer that doesn't leave an oily/greasy residue before applying the glue, does that even exist? Hahaha ^_^

Thanks for hanging out here, I hope I'll be able to find a permanent fix for my phone. :)

Mash 42 Image Plate

Love the flowers, here's a mani I did with it:

The triangles, I'm thinking of using it with a yellow base and black stamping then vice versa but I don't have a yellow that would be opaque enough for it to show up :/
Retro squares looks nice ^_^
I really like that the horse look like it's running, maybe a sunset background or maybe a field of grass would suit it.

Mash 41 Image Plate

What's not to like in this plate?!
Tiger print, love it!!!
I'm just so bad with color combos that I might screw that up.
One of the best dragon fly design I've seen on a plate.
It's great that the images on this plate are unique, nobody likes repetitions of images right?

Mash 40 Image Plate

Swirls and lines ^_^
Very fine diagonal lines, will try to use it some time.
Swirls will look good with a gradient base.
Vintage like floral design is very pretty
Leopard print, it's okay I think I should try this print soon. I never do leopard prints.
Rainbow clouds, looks like the clouds are too small for the rainbow don't you think?

Mash 39 Image Plate

I think I have two or three other plates that has the scales design but this one from MASH is probably the best one. I like that the lines are slimmer and if you'll look at the size of the scales in the middle they're a tad smaller which makes it uneven and kinda looks more natural IMO.
The rose hearts are pretty, I can see it in pastels.
Very nice plaid design, might be good for double stamping.
The fan like leaves are nice too and the unicorn (it's a unicorn, right?) looks majestic!

Mash 38 Image Plate

From here on we'll have the full nail design image plates from MASH.
The one that looks like random streaks looks to me like a fog or sunset sky design, like that one ^_^
Checkered design is quite common... hhmmmm come to think if it I don't think I've used any of my checkered designs on my nails. Tsk.
The full nail hearts is cute kinda reminds of RA114.
Heart monitor line so cool!
Oh and the spider, it'll be great for Halloween ^_^

Red Angel 114 Image Plate

Nice plate really, sorry for the bad swatch must have mixed too much water on my paint.
Love all the images here, I don't usually like circles or dots but this one looks like disco!
I'm not sure if the scratch near the hearts is deep or not but it didn't show up on the swatch and it's barely touching the design so I'm not going to mind about that.
Heart soup... cute!

Red Angel 113 Image Plate

Another wingless fairy but that's okay I still think she looks cute ^_^
For me this is plate is just okay, I think they grabbed the designs here from other nail stamping sets. If this is your first and only set you would be able to appreciate it I guess.
If you'll look closely my plate has a bad and deep straight scratch above the camou or cow print design, it's very apparent on my swatch... tsk tsk tsk :(
I'm hoping that this will not affect the image when I do use it since it's near the corner.

Red Angel 112 Image Plate

So I guess this fairy has her wings ^_^
I like this plate but why does the full nail floral had to be the one that's narrow?
Oh well at least they stamp great :)

Red Angel 111 Image Plate

This is one of the revamped plates I think, I've read from the people who got the first batch of this set that the girl in the middle supposed to have wings and that it's supposed to be a fairy.
I don't mind it though but the full nail designs on this plate are not very impressive as the others. Those scales design I think I have three plates that looks exactly the same. The important thing is that they all work. YAY!

Red Angel 109 Image Plate

Remember RA104, the one that only has four full nail designs? I guess this is where the other small design went. ^_^

This is the first the plate that I tried from this set, I had a bit of difficulty picking up the image because I was expecting it to be engraved like my other plates but it was a bit shallow but not to the point that they are unusable. You just need to scrape lightly and you would have a better outcome if you use a stamping polish not just regular ones.
I like all the designs but the circles not so much.

Red Angel 108 Image Plate

Love the tribal print on this plate even though it's a little shorter than the other designs, I'm currently using this design on my nails as I'm typing this ^_^
The retro squares are so common but I like this one, will have to keep a mental note to use this. The couple other full designs are okay too
The flowers on the side look like jasmines to me.

Red Angel 107 Image Plate

Pretty cool plate if you love to do water marbling ^_^
Fishbone design looks cool too
Almost perfect, they really need to tell their plate designer or arranger to line those images up perfectly. I know it's really not a big deal since all the images work but if you're used to having plates that are lined up well this could be an eyesore.

Red Angel 106 Image Plate

This plate swatched pretty well ^_^
I was able to try the waves design on my mom's nails, I needed to scrape lightly because every time I scrape too heavily the image outcome isn't opaque enough.
The designs on this plate are nice, will try to use that full nail with the heart design soon. The flowers looks a bit familiar, maybe a copy from a Konad image plate?

Red Angel 105 Image Plate

I just noticed that some of the full nail designs on this set are smaller than the others, take a closer look on the grass with orb like patterns it's obviously smaller than the tribal design beside it.
I don't want to fuss over it too much because I don't let my nails grow too long anyway.
Again love the unique designs but I would have preferred that the tribal print was the other way around, I mean they should have switched the etching on it the etched part should be the smooth part and vice versa. Oh well...

Red Angel 104 Image Plate

I'm not sure if it's a fluke or a mistake when they were arranging the designs on their plates but this only has four full nail images. I think there's a plate on this set that has that small design that was supposed to be included here ^_^
I have to give it to the designers on this set but these are really quite unique, fun part is you can use those leaves without those lines and the slanted tribal print without the grape-like design which I find it to be a bit a weird combo anyway.
The swatches turned out well so I'm happy about that.

Red Angel 103 Image Plate

Cool looking plate this one, I like the square tile design ^_^
The balloon with hearts is cute as well, looking forward to using that.
The engraving is pretty good, had no problems except for maybe the string of the balloons not properly showing up. I hope it will be better when I do use it on my nails.

Red Angel 102 Image Plate

RA102 has four full nail designs and a cute peacock ^_^
Unfortunately this is one of the plates that has a shallow engraving. If you'll see my swatch the butterflies aren't engraved well this is really saying something because I used acrylic paint to swatch these. I tried to swatch it with different polishes and really had a difficult time to making all the butterflies show up. The other designs work but will need a bit of effort and you need to pick up and stamp real quick, because of the shallowness of the engraving you'll be scraping a lot of polish and what's left is a thin layer of product to stamp with which could dry up a lot faster than usual.

QA12 Image Plate

Hello Kitty = Kawaii

If you're an HK fan you have to have this plate!
The full nail dots are nice because the dots are evenly placed. The HK head image is going to look great on the thumb too *_^
Peace sign kitty is so cute.
The bears are a good touch for this plate, a little diversity I think. :)
