More of the Wet N Wild Summer Getaway Set and Vogue Fantastic in Morado

I think it's been taking me too long to update this blog but I promise that I will be updating it. I am so lazy editing pictures but when  I do I kinda do them in bulk so when I write my post they're kinda in bulk as well ^_^

I'm going to continue with the review of the goodies I won from  Sekhmet's Purple Castle

  

 This is Sage in the City which is from the Wet N' Wild Summer Getaway Set

I've said on my previous post that this polish would look great over black so that's what I exactly did here.

I used one coat of black as base then applied two coats of Sage in the City.

This green really pops, it's almost a metallic finish.

 

 I love pinks and greens combo so I decided to use this baby pink crackle polish on top. The crackle polish is thin so the pink didn't take over the whole nail and it dries to a matte finish.

 

After one coat of top coat here it is looking sweet and shiny. I love this color combo but I barely do it on my nails. The contrast of the metallic green and pink is so pretty! ^_^

First I want to say sorry because my phone's camera is not giving me a break and I can not take a true color of this nail polish, aaarrrggghhh!!!

Buffy the Violet Slayer is a deep electric violet. Once on your nails it is so mesmerizing, every time I would look at it it feels like I'm looking at someone else's nails. I know it sounds crazy hahaha!

 

On this pic I sponged in a dark semi metallic blue then applied an orange flakey like glitter, I was hoping that there would be a contrast but it isn't very visible on pic. I was trying to take a pic of it in a well lit area so I won't have to use the flash but my phone doesn't want to show the violet still *sigh*

 

 Here I did some skull stamping using an orange nail polish, unfortunately my top coat turned the orange into a murky shade good thing it didn't melt the copper gold pen I used in the crown.

I cheated a bit here :)

I first applied two coats of jelly orange polish then used one coat of 9.0.2.1.Orange

I really like this orange polish because of the gold shimmers, even if it's sheer it's great for using as a topper.

  

I did a Halloween theme with it! ^_^

 

 I'm going to do a little break from the Summer Getaway set....

I used two coats of this polish which I believe is a dupe of a Sweet Nail Polish brand, the number is 04.

I only used two coats, I didn't mind that it was streaky because I've decided to use it as a base for Vogue Fantastic in Morado.

 

Here it is! I love this combo because the purple really popped!

Like most crackle/shatter polishes the finish is matte so....

 

I used two coats of top coat just to smoothen the surface. 

 

Just because I then added a coat of my favorite gold glitter polish that after a few minutes I realized that it was a bad idea, hahaha!

Next time I'll just leave the shatter polish alone ^_^

 

I still have a few more polishes to review and I've made some new manis that I hope to post soon.

Mash 29 Image Plate

This is the only plate in this set that has a skull image design, I guess at least they included one but it kinda looks generic.
Love the stars and the feather/leaf design. The swirly pattern looks nice too but I'm not sure how to use it. The tribal design looks cool but I never know how to use those designs as well :/
I guess I will have to Google pics before I try them out.

QA8 Image Plate

I think this is the only plate I own that has a full nail skull design....
must... get... more... LOL ^_^
First, the small floral prints are cute but I rarely use these kind of designs.
Next the camouflage full nail design in the middle is smaller than the others which I really don't understand, why didn't make it the same size as the others?
The leopard or cheetah print is a bit on the thick side, let's just say that there are lot of better versions out there.
The wave like design and the checkered print are okay by me. ^_^

QA5 Image Plate

I just love skulls! ^_^

I like the set of ribbons on this plate, you have two sizes of each so you have options if you'd like to use it on your thumb or pinky.

Sorry about my swatch, the brush I was using fell on the paper while I was scraping on the image plate.The anchors are pretty cool too, nautical design anyone?

Random small haul ^_^

 

 

I was able to drop by at the mall earlier and I saw these cute stuff on sale ^_^

First the Goth-like floral pen, I've seen this pen before but I never bought it because I find it to be too expensive. The original price was Php129 and now it's only Php35, such a steal!

Second is the yellow skull thin head band, the second I saw it I just grabbed it because I just love skull designs! Original price was Php29.50 and I got it for Php15, almost 50% discount :)

Lastly is the the Caronia nail polish in Kiwi, this wasn't on sale but these polishes are really affordable they only cost Php33.25.

Originally I wanted to get a Jacorste nail polish in black but sadly they run out already :(

Now my total is Php83.25 which if converted is a little under $2, cool isn't it?

I just love bargains!!! ^_^

Bundle Monster 225

This is the last plate for the second Bundle Monster set. What I love: Floral, vines and the ornament. As much as I would like to go gaga over the skull and crossbones full nail design the etching is a bit defective because some of the crossbones looked like ribbons and the skull is not as crisp as the one on the BM211 plate. The other full nail that looks to me like feathers falling, I'm not so sure how to use it because some does look like feathers and the others look like gravel rocks :/

The floral design is still pretty so I'll just have to focus on that.

I am planning to get the third set but I'm still waiting for the Summer Cheeky stamping plates to get released which I don't know exactly when that is. For now I joined The Manicured Monkey's giveaway for a chance to win the third Bundle Monster set, awesome!!! ^_^

Bundle Monster 211

I love the rows of flowers ^_^

I do like skulls as well but I sort of already have one that looks kinda like the skull in this plate so I'm not that crazy about it. The rest of the designs are pretty unique except for the pebble like circles, I don't know about me but I'm not impressed with circle designs :/
